WVAFF Bylaws require all event members “must be registered with the West Virginia Secretary of State”. In order to satisfy this requirement, new, re-joining, and existing members can submit a printed copy of their registration record with the WV SoS Office, accessible via the Secretary of State website. Follow these simple instructions:
- Browse out to the WV Secretary of State Business Organization Search web page located at https://apps.sos.wv.gov/business/corporations/.
- In the Organization search box, enter the whole name or the first part of the name of your fair or festival, then click Search. For example, for the West Virginia Association of Fairs and Festivals, you could search for west virginia association of fairs and festivals or just west virginia association.
- Click the name of your organization from the search results. If your fair or festival is not found, you may need to contact the Secretary of State Office directly to verify your event is registered.
- From your browsers menu, select Print, and choose the Print to PDF option (or similar) to print the web page to a .PDF file. Please include your fair’s or festival’s name in the filename of the .pdf. Your .pdf document should be similar to the example below:

Now, simply email a copy of your .PDF to WVAFF Membership at wvaffmembership@gmail.com. We will send confirmation, upon receipt.
