Newsletter – Workshop and Survey


We have finalized details for the Pageant Director’s Workshop and wanted to remind you again of this year’s post Convention Survey


As was discussed and requested in January, we have finalized the details for a Pageant Director’s Workshop in April.

The workshop will be held Saturday, April 14th at the Bicentennial Inn in Buckhannon. We will post any updates or additional info on our website and social media accounts, but directors should watch their emails for further updates and details.

As of today, the workshop is scheduled to take place from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The Bicentennial has been very generous and accommodating in the planning of this workshop, and we have arranged with them to offer a lunch for registered attendees, so that we can maximize the time that the group will have together for the workshop and discussions.

You must RSVP for attendance and the lunch by April 7 to be included in our discussions. We need a total head count for those attending, so if you have more than one person attending on behalf of your Pageant or Event, we need their names also.

In order to prepare the room and the meal, we need you to RSVP for this workshop as soon as possible. The cost of the lunch will be $15.00 per person, and will include the following:

Baked Steak
Mashed Potatoes
Green Beans
Beverage (Ice Tea, Hot Tea or Coffee)
Cost per person – $15.00 total (inclusive of tax and gratuity)

You should pay for your lunch that day with cash, or a check made out to the WV Association of Fairs & Festivals. If you need an invoice before the workshop, you must let Jeanie know at least one week before the workshop.

We have updated our web site design, along with the 2018 Event member, Associate member and Pageant information. Like many current web sites, the new site was designed to be “responsive” – a consistent viewing experience no matter what type of device you are using – and contains “static” web pages and a blog. We plan on using the “blog” part of the site to keep you current on WVAFF and WVAFF member news.

Please take a few minutes to look at the “Navigate Our Site” post to view instructions about how to update your Event/Associate info.


Your feedback will guide us in the 2019 Convention planning, so if you have not already done so, please take the time to complete this year’s survey. It is a little more detailed than last year’s and may take a few more minutes to complete, but will guide us in our planning of the 2019 Convention.
